Pediatric Health & Diseases

cocuk sagligi ve hastaliklari

With the expertise of its specialist doctors, Cyprus Central Hospital provides healthcare services, including medical checkups as well as diagnosing and treating diseases, for the pediatric population between the ages of 0 and 18

At our hospital, we closely monitor your baby's mental and motor development, nutrition and immunizations from prenatal intrauterine life (in the mother's womb), and monthly check-ups after birth.

After birth, babies are monitored by nurses for 24 hours to breastfeed and are discharged under the supervision of a pediatrician for routine examinations and check-ups for the first 72 hours after birth.

In the neonatal intensive care unit, we treat premature babies, babies with mild respiratory failure, multiple births, babies of diabetic mothers, gigantism, babies who swallowed meconium in utero, babies with difficult births who do not require referral to the neonatal intensive care unit, conduct newborn screening, and successfully use phototherapy for babies with jaundice.

The outpatient clinic provided within our hospital offers all the necessary services for the diagnosis and treatment of children presenting complaints of various diseases. The laboratories of biochemistry, microbiology, radiology and microbiology work in collaboration to confirm the diagnosis.

If patients require further testing and referrals, pediatricians liaise with relevant external departments to make referrals to cardiology, allergy, immunology, respiratory medicine, neonatology, endocrinology, neurology and other pediatric internal medicine and surgery.

For patients requiring inpatient care, our pediatric inpatient ward provides care by compassionate and experienced pediatric nurses and medical staff.
